Firefox! It’s truly a browser for everyone. Plus, I don’t like Microsoft and Google.

Thanks, my friends!
My personal favourite is Opera, though I find Chrome to be faster.

——————————————————————————-
Firefox is a cool browser, Vishesh. It is quick and can be customised easily.
——————————————————————————-
Kumar, unfortunately, I haven’t used Flock so far
——————————————————————————-
Sakhi, Chrome is very simple and is lightning quick. But it has some privacy worries and is not customisable either.
——————————————————————————-
Firefox is a wise choice, Margot.
——————————————————————————-
Leafless, I’m surprised to read that you don’t like Microsoft

Scitech,
I’m having some problems the last few weeks with Firefox crashing. I hadn’t heard of any of these other browsers. Are they downloadable for free? If I wanted to download one that was free, and try it, which one would you recommend, and could you provide a link in English where I could do that?
Best regards,
Margot in Marrakesh

Margot,
Its sad to read about your problems with Firefox. I haven’t had any problems with it so far.
All these browsers can be downloaded for free!
My personal choice would be Opera for a great all-round browsing experience. Opera (version 9.52) can be downloaded from:
http://www.opera.com/download/
Google Chrome is a minimalist browser that seems to be the fastest of the lot. But privacy would be slightly compromised (because of the integrated search feature) as your browsing data is stored on Google’s servers for about 24 hours according to the company. Google Chrome Beta (the preview release) can be downloaded from:
http://www.google.com/chrome
If you have used a Mac, I guess you may like Safari. However, I feel that Safari does not work that well with Windows. Safari 3.1.2 for Windows can be downloaded from:
http://www.apple.com/safari/download/
Flock has its own dedicated fan base. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried it so far. Flock 1.2 can be downloaded from:
http://flock.com/
Konqueror is best suited for Linux.
[If you're using a previous version of Firefox and want to stick to it, you may like to try out the latest release (3.0.1) which is quite good. It can be downloaded from:
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/ ]
You can choose the one that is best suited for you though I would recommend Opera.

Firefox.
not a problem for new machines though
Reasons: Fully customizable using addons, fast and powerful.
Minus points: heavy for RAM

Thanks, Suda!
I too like Firefox because it is fast and can be customised completely.
